15 Week update

How far along: 15 Weeks

How big is baby: Avocado 4.5 inches from crown to rump, and 3.5oz

Maternity Clothes: I've given up on jeans or any form of "real" pants. I've graduated to yoga pants, they don't really have maternity clothes in my size.

Best moment of the week:  Going out to dinner with my parents for my dads birthday

Food Cravings: Bread and butter! Oh, I could eat that all day!

Food Adversions: Still eggs. I haven't tried to eat them yet, but the thought is icky.

Irritability: Poor Mister gets to deal with me all day and night. I've turned into a bigger bitch than usual :(
Acne: None
Cramping: I still get very minor cramping for time to time

Movement: I've been feeling a rolling sensation for a little while, but last night I swear I felt tiny little kicks. It's truly amazing!

Gender: Still a mystery

What I'm looking forward to:  Getting to feel stronger kicks, and finding out the gender

Next appointment: December 5th

Absolutely nothing

Nothing new to report really, we've been taking it really easy. We had to unplug our Christmas tree tonight because one of the strands went out, and then back on but super bright. We just want to be safe, and not cause a fire. Details details.

We've got another prenatal appointment coming next week. I'm excited about that, but I also have 2 other appointments that day, and the prenatal one is the last. I'm hoping they do an in office ultrasound, or that we'll be able to hear Sweet Peas heartbeat.

I've been feeling very emotional the last week or so. Everything that has any relation to my family, makes me blubber like a baby. I'm feeling very nostalgic about silly things. I've always been very sappy about that kind of stuff, but right now it's even worse.

Ugh, I have nothing to talk about, I'm just rambling about nothing.

Oh...I want nothing but bread and butter right now.

Happy day after Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was wonderful! I couldn't have asked for a better time. It was quiet and peaceful, and full of love.
My mom came over in the late morning and her and I got to cooking. Mister slept in and didn't have to lift a finger, until it was time to clean up. Then he got busy, we didn't have to clean a thing.

Really, my mom did all the cooking, I helped but not much. We had a great big turkey, that we got for $3.50! We had home made stuffing, green bean casserole (which I've been craving for weeks), home made dinner rolls, stuffed mushrooms, spinach balls, two kinds of cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes (that turned our horrible) and a pumpkin and apple pie, with home made whipped cream.

Everything was delicious, except the mashed potatoes. I got the recipe from Pinterest which led to here. They turned out grey and not flavorful at all. It could be that I used unsalted butter, because that's what we had, but ew. Mister liked them alright, but never again.

My mom stayed for a while after, and we watched a movie. We all stayed up way to late, and now I feel like I have a hangover. I'm exhausted!

The best part about having the holiday at your house, you get all the leftovers! Mmm turkey. We might do the same thing for Christmas, I'm just not sure yet.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

14 Week update

How far along: 14 Weeks

How big is baby: 4 inches from crown to rump, and 2.5 oz. About the size of a large naval orange

Best moment of the week: Thanksgiving with Man Dude and my mom, and my mom saying that she's really excited for Sweet Pea to come. Oh...and feeling Sweet Pea move!!

Maternity Clothes: Jeans are just too tight, I'm in yoga pants until this baby is born....and then maybe for the rest of my life.

Food Cravings: I was craving green bean casserole something fierce, and jalapeno poppers. Really Pinterest is wreaking havoc on my cravings!

Food Adversions: Pork, and eggs...ew.

TMJ: This has been killing me this week. I was in tears the night before Thanksgiving. I've also been having neck tension, causing headaches.
Cramping: Still an issue, but not nearly as bad
Irritability: Mister thinks I hate him, apparently I'm a raging bitch

Movement: I'm pretty sure I felt Sweet Pea moving last week, and off and on this week. It only happens if I lay on my left side at night, little rolling sensations. It's the best feeling ever!

Gender: It's too early to tell

What I'm looking forward to: Knowing for sure that I can feel Sweet Pea moving

Next appointment: We have our next prenatal appointment December 5th, and then we find out if Sweet Pea is a he or a she January 2nd! Eek!

I must whine. Apparently a lovely side effect of pregnancy for me, is jaw pain. It's been uncomfortable for weeks now, and today it hit an all time high. I'm laying down with the left side of my face pressed against a pillow. If I lift it it feels like my jaw is being ripped off. I never wanted to be one of those complaining pregnant women, but owwww!

On an exciting note, I'm pretty sure I can feel Sweet Pea swimming around in there. If I lay on my left side at night, I feel a rolling sensation. I'll be 14 weeks on Friday, and Sweet Pea will be the size of a Navel Orange!

On January 2nd we're going to a specialist to look at Sweet Peas heart and meet with some doctors, because of the medication I'm on, and the heart problems I had as an infant. But while we're there we'll get to find out if Sweet Pea is a He or a She!! We can hardly wait! My mom is coming with us, so it's going to be extra special!

Thanksgiving is tomorrow, and I can't wait! We're having my mom over and there's going to be delicious food! We usually go over to my dads side of the family for holidays, but now it's my moms turn. I think we'll have Christmas with her too. Can't wait!

I hope everyone has a wonderful thanksgiving!
